    • History: Belkern was the seneschal of a small Baron’s estate house until the Baron died of old age with no kin. With no one left to organize the soldiers or to pay him for his work he moved on.

    • History: Teingor is the second son of a lesser nobleman who died during the interregnum. He was well trained as a child to fit into the high courts, but has yet to really make it there.

    • History: A half-elf from the edge of the forest kingdom, he signed on to care for the incredible horses of the Purple Dragon Knights. When he saw December he know that one day he wanted to care for that creature!

    • History: Evora was the daughter of a horse trainer and volunteered to join the army and to break and train warhorses. She found herself in close company with the farriers and before long was spending a considerable amount of time with the half-elf, Iaenris. Is currently intimate with Iaenris.

    • History: Oroas grew up in the small town of Port Kir and has somehow survived all of the trials and tribulations experienced by the town. His father owned the previous inn and he’s branched out to make it an inn & tavern (the only of either in town).

    • History: An orphan on the streets of Saradush, Torbert remembers a time before the interregnum and is very glad he was born before it. He’s made a living for himself with a hammer and would like to continue doing so.

    • Motivations: Wants to create a legendary weaponsmithing store which only sells masterwork weapons
    • History: Born in Darrowmar to a Weaponsmith Tykoh began learning the trade at a young age. When his father disappeared he tried to take over the shop, but was unable to. He’s wandered ever since.

Warrior

    • Motivations: Become a great warrior
    • History: Aeren was terrified when Goblins attacked Arabel and he was caught within the city. Doing everything he could to overcome his cowardice he eventually joined the army as it marched off towards Tethyr.

    • Motivations: Became a great warrior
    • History: Aholdo was trained as a Paladin at a young age, but no matter how hard he tried he always struggled with the divine side of being a Paladin. He still to this day wishes it were possible, but realizes he is better off chasing the dream of being a great warrior.

    • Motivations: Become a great warrior
    • History: Arakia grew up in a family of 8 older brothers and always had to fight tooth and nail just to eat. It only made sense to follow after he 8 brothers and join the army as well.

    • History: Asulo was the son of a horse trainer who worked and traveled with the army. When he came of age it only made sense for him to learn how to fight, rather than to train a horse how to fight.

    • History: Ator is the son of one of the most famous weaponsmiths in all of the Underhome, but, he never wanted that life and always argued with his father. When he was old enough to choose he chose the axe over the hammer.

    • History: Calibern grew up in a rough and tumble rural area and with little future prospects other than pushing a plow the rest of his life joined the army.

    • History: He grew up on the navy brat streets of Marsember, but eventually found his way to Suzail. Never one to shy from a fight he joined the army when the call to arms was put out.

    • History: Croin has always sought fame and fortune and believes his ability to fight will eventually get him there.

    • History: Denwald eagerly joined up with the “rightful” King of Ithmong, but, when his army was routed and his king tried to run he didn’t know what to do. When offered salvation by the “true” King of all of Tethyr he jumped at the opportunity.

    • History: Dieden was born big, and has always been big. He never had the skill or finesses to do delicate things unless he had a sword in his hand. It was the only thing that ever felt comfortable.

    • History: Born in the safe and powerful Underhome, Droga has always dreamed of fighting in a great campaign. Now with war over she seeks to perfect her skills so that she can have a more important role in the next great war.

    • History: The son of a non-hereditary landed knight Elmend knew that one day he would become a knight himself – even if he had no means to get there other than the struggle as a common soldier.

    • History: Genwyn’s parents raised her in the community of Talltrees, and she was one of the lucky few to not be killed or enslaved there. She believes that her presence outside of the forests will reduce hate against the wood elves. The younger sister of Perdwyn.

    • History: The son of a armour merchant, Havil grew up on the streets of Murann. When the Greate Plague hit Murann and his father died he fled the city. In time he eventually fell in with the Army.

    • History: Jaet grew up on the streets of Suzail and was always bigger than the other buys growing up. This led him into a life of thuggery which he never enjoyed. When a call to arms was put out he joined the army and hoped to redeem his coloured past.

    • History: Arddyn grew up as neither Elf, nor Human. She was caught in the middle between being accepted by Humankind, and being shunned by elves. She often found herself more at home amongst humans, however, while she actively sought out her elven heritage. She took naturally to nature and the wilds, and proved to be an excellent shot with a bow. When a call was put out to go to war in Tethyr, her mother’s homeland, she joined up as a scout.
  • Berandaen

    • Motivations: Become a Knight of Tethyr. Become a Knight of a Holy Order. Adventure, and in so doing protect others.
    • History: Berandaen was recruited to the Temple of Tyr at the age of 6. Always he strove to fit in with his brethren, but always he was called to Torm, more than Tyr. The clerics did not begrudge him this, nor did they hold him back. They pushed him towards Torm and in time he believed he had found his true purpose – to be one of the rare few Paladins of Torm who adventure the realms.

    • History: Gareth Torson was born to the lesser noble house Torson. He was well trained and fed at a young age, and joined the Temple of the Triad at age 10. He blossomed in the temple and eventually was given a full commission as a Cleric, specifically of his chosen deity, Torm. He formed a fast friendship with other adventurers in Saradush and formed an adventuring party shortly afterwards.

    • Motivations: Qhorro believes that the spirit of an angel is fused with his own. The spirit whispers to him, telling what is just and what is not. He believes the angel fell to bind with him and he seeks to gain power and ability so that he can one day ascend to Torm’s side and return the angel to Celestia.
    • History: Even Qhorro knows little of his past. He was young once, but he vaguely remembers it. He says his memories are confusing and is not interested in further talks concerning his past.

    • History: An adept spellcaster at a young age Radadel was found by a more powerful wizard and trained in the art. The two never got on and in time fell out with each other. Radadel never forgot his training, however, even if he developed it in a different manner. He has since become a wanderer, specially during the strife filled war years, and seeks a safe place to develop his art.

As he came of age his parents did what they could to ensure he was apprenticed as an Illusionist. Since finishing his time as an apprentice he’s worked odd jobs using his engineering knowledge and magical abilities to feed himself.

    • Motivations: Is happy to have joined an Adventuring party, and is excited about her future with the Lions.
    • History: Arralyn was born in Evereska, but was raised in the capital of Amn, Athkatla. It was there that her father served as an adviser to a number of rich merchant families. She was given the best in education, and had almost anything she wanted – except adventure. She always craved for more, even when practicing her string instruments or her singing. Her mother, never to deny her daughter what she desired, set her up with all of the equipment an adventurer would need and set her young Arralyn loose.
  • Crackle

    • Motivations: Wants to travel the world and is interested in adventuring.
    • History: Crackle was very much born the poorest of the poor in the streets of Zazesspur. He had nothing – no family, no friends, no food. He’s not even sure how he made it to scavenging for himself, but he always managed to stay positive no matter the circumstances. He has a knack for survival and knowing things, and his natural street sense and charm can be very persuasive.
  • Halder of Myratma

    • Motivations: Gain in power and learning, learn the fate of his father, Learn more of Vallatha
    • History: Halder of Myratma starting at a very young age trained under a local wizard at the expense of his father, a man unknown to Halder. When he eventually passed his master’s tests he set out, traveling through much of wartorn Tethyr using his strange reptilian eyes and the ability to grow claws to scare people too interested in him. When he discovered another like him, albeit different, he knew he needed to find out more.
  • Jemmel

    • Motivations: Wants to continue adventuring with the Lions, but has an eye on one day returning to the land of his father, the Purple Hills.
    • History: Jemmel was born in the gutters of Saradush. His father kept him and his mother alive through theft and other petty crimes. Jemmel hated it and rebelled when he could. He found he had a knack for fighting and getting the jump on the bigger races. His father, always looking out for what was best for his son, got him a private tutor to teach him how to fight.
  • Korrd

    • Motivations: Live a clean and above board life helping the people of Tethyr
    • History: Korrd, like many other children born during the interregnum, had little support. He grew up in the rough streets of Zazesspur knowing that the slightest slip up might cost him his life. He did, however, find a knack for getting into places he shouldn’t, and getting out of places he shouldn’t have been able to. He became a small time information broker, selling what he could find out for enough food to keep himself alive. When one day he found out his information got a man killed he swore of that life, disappearing from all of his old haunts, falling in with the Underground movement of Zaranda Star.

    • Motivations: She wants to adventure, to have a temple to call home, and one day to raise children – properly.
    • History: Tiriel was born to a lesser mercer in the city of Murann who had no time for her child, nor did she know who the father was. She abandoned the child to the temple, leaving barely enough coin every year to pay for the child’s welfare. The temple, however, was astonished to watch the young baby grow into a forthright, charismatic and capable young woman. She perfectly fit all the requirements of the martial arm of the temple and trained as a Paladin. The temple claimed no god as its own, and in time Tiriel chose for herself: Torm. When she came of age she departed the temple, traveling southern and central Amn before making her way south to Tethyr. She fell in with the Waterdhavian Expeditionary Force for a wage to feed her mount and mule.

    • History: The younger brother of Kaherdin Rionet, Ver’al has always tried to live up to the example set by his elder brother. Named a patrol leader at a young age in the elven community of Tassrythil, he often thought of traveling and adventuring. When he heard his brother had returned and had joined the service of the new Duke of Kir he made his way across the forest to join up with his brother and the new Duke.

    • History: Little is known of Aussis’ history and he, a very quiet person, is generally unwilling to elaborate any further. Aussis was born in Iriaebor and trained there under a powerful Wizard, Valdoghast. He left his apprenticeship early for unknown reasons and must have wandered quite some distance to have finally made his way as far south as Tethyr.
  • Caradoc Sherier

    • Motivations: Is disappointed about his role during the war. Wants to become a landed knight/lord and leader of men (moreso than just a guard captain).
    • History: Caradoc was a graduate of the prestigious Purple Dragon Knight school, but, he did not have, nor could he find, the favour of any nobleman willing to sponsor him. Instead of a glorious career commanding Purple Dragon Knights – he found himself sitting on his father’s riches, commanding fifth echelon militia, constantly being ignored for promotions which went to men undeserving on merit, but of higher social position than he.
  • Delbane Amenis

    • Motivations: Is disappointed about his role during the war. Wants to adventure. Wants to become a landed knight/lord and leader of men. Wants to create his own temple to Torm.
    • History: Delbane is the third son of House Amenis of Waterdeep. As the third son, he was sent off to live a secular life at a young age, but young Delbane was not interested in such things. His natural physical abilities made him a stand out in the monastery and he was eventually transferred to the Temple proper where he began to study the teachings of Torm. He was well regarded and most agree that he easily could’ve been anything, and that the Temple was lucky he chose to become a Cleric of Torm. After being given a full commission by the Temple he set out to make his name as an adventurer. Things didn’t go particularly well for the headstrong young man, and he was forced to join the Waterdhavian Expeditionary Force to get a steady wage to payoff his armour debts.
  • Raist

    • Motivations: Aid in the reconstruction of the Kingdom of Tethyr
    • History: Born and raised in Ithmong, Raist is the son of wealthy merchant parents who could afford to send him to be trained in Amn as a Wizard. After finishing his schooling he returned to find the Kingdom torn apart by warring and fighting and wanted to help in some way. With the war coming to an end he found his way to the Duchy of Kir, hoping to aid one of the inspiring heroes of the war.

  • Vaelsanda “Sand”

    • Motivations: Wants to adventure. Wants to create a tower for herself. Wants to be Vizier of the Duchy of Kir. Wants to create a Wizarding school.
    • History: Vaelsand served under the Vizier of the Duchy of Vel, and was his star pupil. She has a natural aptitude for Evocation magic, which proved handy in the old wizard’s studies. When she finished her apprenticeship she began traveling, first heading to Murann, south as far as Memnon, and north again to Murann before returning to Velen. There, she joined with her two brothers who were fighting for Vel, to reclaim the Kingdom of Tethyr.

Level 4 PC Classes

  • Denek
    • Level 4 Male Deep Dwarven Fighter
    • Motivations: Perfect the art of combat. Die a glorious death in battle.
    • History: Denek is one of the few survivors of the Dorgak clan. Even he doesn’t remember the “Quiet” time before he truly awakened – a time when his mind was being controlled by an Illithich slaver. But, since his awakening, every sensation has been a joy to him – nothing more so than combat. He lives for battle.
  • Kaherdin (Caerdin) Rionet
    • Level 4 Male Wood Elven Ranger
    • Motivations: He is open to creating a school to train rangers, but is equally interested in becoming a minor lord where he can bring friends and family “out of the forest” into Kir. In the mean time, he is hoping for adventure.
    • History: Not much is known of Kaherdin’s early years. It is well known that he traveled for a time in the dangerous jungles of Chult, and when he returned he brought with him a terrible lizard-beast. Since his return to Tethyr he has been aloof and strange, and while he does not frighten easily, he is not interested in heading back into deep dark forests of his homeland.
  • Kelara

    • Motivations: Find a place to call home, become the Vizier of Kir.
    • History: Kelara is the daughter of a lesser, and now expired, Pasha of Calimport. She was raised from a young age to replace her vizier mother. With the destruction of her house she fled the city and her father’s enemies did not greatly care that she escaped as she was no longer a threat. She made Memnon her home for a time, until she tired of the severity of the rule of both Queen Kasthra and then Empress Mora. With the war now at an end she is hoping that the rule of the Duke of Kir will be more favourable and she’ll find a place to call home.

    • Motivations: Is disappointed with his role during the war. Wants to become a landed knight/lord and leader of men.
    • History: Keltaris Greyvale was the third son of his family and was sent off to live a more secular lifestyle. It was in a monastery, however, that the monks began to get wary of his almost preternatural wisdom. He was sent back to Suzail where his father grudgingly paid for him to join the Temple of Torm as an acolyte. He excelled there and was eventually granted a full commission. When he heard that his idol, Kaelen Vaelor, the Saviour of Arabel, was fighting in Tethyr and that numerous Cormyrians had gone off to fight, he immediately gathered a small fighting force and set off to join him.

His parents died there, and he put himself to use as a scout and guide through the dangerous western forests. He eventually fell in with Zaranda Star and her band, living in the central mountains, hunting evil men.

    • History: Tassitar Desbiens comes from a long line of hedge knights, landed knights, baronets, and finally, barons. He is the second son of Lord Desbiens and was trained in a martial capacity from a young age. He excelled and was quickly drafted into the Purple Dragon Knights. He continued to serve with exemplary service, showing bravery and good tactical understanding. He fought brigands, monsters, minor border skirmishes, and even Zhent patrols. When a call to arms went out many of the lifelong soldiers were sad to see him sign up under Field Marshal Adamar, knowing that most of the men that left would never come back.
